My top glasses are Maui's. Bought some Costas 580s 2 months ago and for the life of me I cannot get the right lens to keep from fogging up. Tried everything so it must be the shape of my face.
A great quality lens I have and still wear ocassionaly for back ups are Native. I bought them at REI and lifetime warranty on ALL products bought there NO QUESTIONS ASKED. I have replaced for new glasses 3 times due to me breaking them.

COSTAS HAVE THE BEST GLASS on the market had several pairs and when they first started up they were like all the new up and coming companies lifetime this and that and people were sending in every pair they bought and got them replaced... over time they got a good name and you see them EVERYWHERE like OAKS boom away goes the CS. If I break something i should have to pay for it. however if i spend 300 bucks plus on glasses I expect 300 bucks worth of quality. If they cant make glasses for guys to wear everyday and cant last with everyday use I dont want them... I dont want to hear that because they fell off my head on the carpet of my boat and they smashed into pieces that its my fault.. that is plain out poor quality... I went through this a few years ago on this forum with COSTA and a rep tried to make it right... he was sending me replacements FOR FREE.. only problem is they are so poorly made that they were breaking just from the shipping.... I talked to a buddy of mine that works for a local ski and water sports store ad he said its un real how many COSTAS come in to them for sale that are broken in the shipping.... I love their lenses and they are FAR better then anything i have ever put on and fished with but I will buy a lesser quality lens from here on out if they will at least make it a year for me. AGAIN if the sales in COSTA decrease then maybe the will start putting more efforts into a quality product that lasts and they wouldn't need a warranty but for now and from my personal experience its about them selling you glasses that are WAY over priced for the quality then PUTTING the hurt on you to fix them BC they know you are already in 300 bucks to have a COSTA logo on your head... SORRY i dont BUY for a LOGO.. COSTA can get this right and if they do I will BUY again bc IMO best lens on the market
LOVE JD

I just dealt with Costa CS myself. I purchased a pair of glasses FIVE YEARS AGO. I stepped on them this February. I finally sent them back, expecting to buy a new frame, as "stepped on" ought to be outside of warranty replacement. My model was discontinued, and they offered me another pair of any nylon framed glasses with the same lens for about 1/3 the price. If their standard response to me stepping on 5 year old glasses is to offer me a new pair at 60% of, that's great CS in my book.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. Their CS is so inconsistent. This guy steps on his 5yrs later and no problem we'll hook you up. The next guy breaks his putting them on his head 3 months after purchase and it takes an act of congress to get help

Pretty old post - costa actually getting free publicity- lol.
Best glasses out there for sight fishing.
I have owned many pairs and given some as gifts and never had any problems unless I dropped the glass ones which was my fault.

I bought my wife a pair of Maui Jim's for her birthday and she left them in the dressing room at Neiman Marcus, when she returned to get them, they were gone hammer peep

Honesty is the best policy.. I broke mine while trying to carry a cooler and I had them in my hand.. I told them the truth and they took care of me.. My guess it is all in the attitude of the person trying to get the warranty replacement.. It's kind of like breaking your fishing rod in the tailgate and telling bass pro it broke on a fish.. HMMMM.. Funny how those ear pieces break while your wearing them..
