I took a year off from bass fishing but I'm back. I live in west Texas where our lakes are very low. I'm planning a trip to Rayburn this fall but it seems I remember some good reports about Pine Creek Lake in Oklahoma. Pine Creek is a 6 hr drive and Rayburn is a 7 hr drive...so both would need to be week long trips. I'm just thinking that Pine Creek will be much cooler than Rayburn this summer. Can I get some advice? Thanks!

I'm not a hundred percent sure but I asked a buddy about pine creek last week and he said he thought the damn had broke some time back. Regardless if its not, I live in Atoka, Ok and all of our lakes are full up here. That's mcgee creek, Sardis and if the damn on pine creek is good it should be. If you haven't tried mcgee or Sardis they are worth a shot and produce quality fish.

Thanks...that's good news and I've changed my plans. I'll go to McGee and Sardis. Does either lake have hydrilla? I love to fish around it.

It's hard to beat McGee creek... Not much hydrilla but just a Great Lake to fish. Has numbers and size!

Mcgee creek, Sardis, Pine creek and broken Bow are all very good fisheries. I have never fished a more beautiful lake than Broken Bow. If you are interested, I have a nice cabin I will rent you. It's close to Broken Bow and Pine Creek. In a week You could fish both. Fished both lakes quite a bit. Can give you advice on both.

go to sardis for 3 days then mcgee creek for 3 days, you will not regret it. either can produce a new pb and you should get good numbers regardless
