Thinking about getting one for the bow of my skeeter. Question is has anyone mounted to the front and if so any pros or cons. And overall how do you like the unit.

Have had one up front about 2 months and really like it. Before I had HDS5x with sonar on TM and networked to HDS8/LSS2 on back. I split between sonar and DSI. Nice having sonar & DSI showing the same thing now. Elite 7 is much better setup. I have not networked Elite 7 & HDS8 since I seldom use the GPS on the Elite 7 up front.

I have one mounted at the front and love it. The unit works great and is all I need for the front. The only thing I haven't done is network it with my HDS8 but I plan on doing it when I get time. Get the transducer shield and saver mount for it. Transducer Shield & Saver HDI

Can someone please tell me there settings for the sonar. My downscan works great but the sonar is so cluttered up you can't determine fish arches. Thanks
