Are there any good tackle stores in Houston besides FTU and Bass Pro? I live on the northeast side and fish Lake Houston and Livingston mainly. Thanks for the help

None that I know of. Tackle Warehouse. Buy > $50 free shipping. You don't spend gas and time to see they are out of what you want.

Yes, but not quite as good as Tackle Warehouse. We have Basspro and Academy, though . In fact, I believe we have two Basspros. There are a couple mom&pop places on the north side. The Conroe Academy is actually pretty good for bass stuff. Then there is Fishing Tackle Unlimited. These guys have everything in the saltwater world, all the best clothing from Simms, Shimano and Columbia and one heckuva bass tackle selection. They're located on the Katy Freeway (I-10 West of the 610 W Loop) and Campbell Road. They also have a store at 610S and 45S.

Tackle Hut-I-45N @ Little York That's one of the mom & pops, and a darned good one.

I really like FTU for saltwater gear. They pretty much always have what I am looking for. But there selection for bass tackle can be limited. Im a big advocate of Tackle Warehouse. You cant beat the prices.

two Bass Pros -- Katy and Pearland. Fishing Tackle Unlimited -- two locations-- I10 West and I45 not far from the Beltway. The first time I shopped Fishing Tackle Unlimited I was very surprised at the selection, both freshwater and saltwater. It seems their prices are competitive.
When I do on line shopping, I use Tackle Warehouse because of their prices, outstanding selection, and most importantly to me, their excellent customer service.
