Link is not full article but the caption of one picture shows work will begin September.

Actually, it says work will begin in 'Serptember'. Gotta love the local news.

LOL I'm sure something bad will happen... Stay tuned...
But it needs to be done. No telling how much wash out has occurred in the last 20 or so years.

It's gotta be done. I know the water utilities manager said it was only leaking enough to drop one foot in 91 years, but for some reason I have a hard time accepting as gospel everything that I hear from government.

If Aquathol spray used to kill vegetation caused damage to rock and concrete that dam would have washed away a couple of years ago. Sorry...I just can't let it go.

It will be interesting to see how they fix this. I'm unclear on which lake is leaking. East or West?

Gary Morgan is one of the best water officials in the State. If not the Nation.

He said it is leaking 30 gallons per minute. That is 302,400 gallons in 7 days. That is a large leak. I don't buy the 1 ft loss in 91 years either.

West Lake Dam is leaking. It was built in 1949.
