Not a kayak question, but does anyone live near Lewisville and do rod repair? I have one rod that needs the 4th eye from the tip replaced and two others that I tried replacing the tips myself and they just aren't working out. I don't have time to make it down to southwest parts. I will pay for the parts and will pay for labor however you like. I would like to watch you do it if at all possible just because I enjoy learning new things.

I don't know if you consider this too far but just had one of my much beloved and well used 20 year old allstar spinners (back when they were making them primarily in Houston before the buy-out, not today's cheap models) repaired at Barlow's Tackle in Richardson this morning - I didn't think to ask if they did repairs other than the tip. You might call them to see if they replace other eyes - $3 mat'l and labor for the tip and I hope I am good for another 20 years.
