You guys are missing the fact he says that TP&W says a Corps lake can enforce more stringent rules/laws. The lake patrol got him not a game warden.

I am contesting it cause how are we suppose to know what lakes enforce what laws if they don't post them. I didn't mean for this to become a p****** match with all the computer rambos, I was just wanting to warn the unknown of what happened to me.

Leason learned for future post.

you did the right thing crank....thanks for the heads up.

when you find out that you were wronged, send that enforcement agency a bill for your time and the flag.

WOW. Doesn't everyone just love an overachieving Johnny Law Dog? police

If the local popo's can enforce any laws they see fit, then they need to be in print somewhere. If you do pursue this further, try to find out where someone can find where they are found. I'd like to know if there are stupid laws enforced on other lakes as well.

I was told by a judge one time that "ignorance of the law is not an excuse".
Thought it was bs then, and still do to a point, but it is our job to know the rules pertaining to the activities we are involved in...

Im trying to wrap my brain around this one. If its not required how can they write a ticket on it? I was reading that link provided regarding this and looks like its off shore only so I would assume that the texas water laws would apply inland. If it wasn't the wardens then who wrote it? I would like to call that agency direct to find out for certain before I go buy the flag cause I am a cheap SOB.

if this flag to speak of is only 3$ then i dont know what the big deal is about it. No one goes to academy for anything else? Youre not making a special trip. Just pick one up if you are worried about getting a ticket then wasting time to try to fight it. JMO which doesnt matter so theres my .02
