Guessing you are throwing braid because you are in stumps? Just throw 20lb fluoro with those shallow cranks and I bet you lose less fish. No flex with braid so it's not ideal.

Nice fish!

8ft of water and stumps you can get away with 20lb Seaguar. Your asking for help but your not making any adjustments on these videos. Get rid of the braid nonsense, it's not necessary. How many 8 pound + fish have you pulled from this lake? My point is these are not huge Texas or California bass. You are showing them way too much respect with the braid and all of the finesse playing them to the boat.

Nice fish!

Thanks Chad......Its a combination.. I may start looking for a fluorocarbon line I like but I can really feel that crankbait and what its doing.walking over stumps and when its just ticking the bottom.lets me know when I need to raise my rod tip up. I usually run my drag loser than tighter and use my thumb. I also go through a huge amount of bownfin in the lakes I fish. And lastly those bigger fish spook it seems if I get closer than 80-90 ft.braid lets me stand of a ways. But I do hear what youre saying.

Look on ebay for 660 yard spools of Sunline sniper fluorocarbon 20 lb. It is great line, very strong, and very sensitive ......cost about 55.00 delivered.

I enjoy your posts and your drive to figure it out!
