Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads. I am taking my 78 year old father fishing tomorrow. This will be the first time in several years since several strokes and being diagnosed with the first stages of Alzheimer. My father taught me how to fish when I was three years old. All the family pictures of me growing up are with a fishing pole in my hand and a bucket hat on my head.

Happy Fathers Day weekend to the best Dad ever! Love you so much. We all have learned so much from you. Thank you for all you have done. We were truly blessed with the best DAD!!

Very cool Steve! I feel the same way you feel.. Lots of memory's of growing up ( and still growing up ) fishing all the area lakes but mainly ole mother Hubbard.. Are one family vacation took us to Texoma for many years! Steve I can't wait to see you out there along with everyone else that will have the opportunity to spend time with dad on the WATER!!!! I'll have my father in law, along with PlanoKeith (which claims the LadiesMan Ray as..dad) and of course the LadiesMan Ray out in full force on this Father's Day on ole mutha Hubbard ...PS momma not gonna let me take Max ( yet ) .. Great post Steve. My dad is long gone but I have good memories of fishing with him. We never had a boat, we banked fish creeks. I would love to have the chance to take my dad out just 1 time fishing on a boat. Good luck to everyone out there today!!

This is great stuff....hope it was a great day of fishing for everyone. Got back into town around 3pm and the lake was packed with boats. Summer is officially here!!!

Here's what we ended up with...definitely had better days for numbers but we managed to put a respectable number of sand bass and half a dozen nice hybrid in the boat

Hoping all had a safe Father's Day, Hubbard was already looking like a zoo when I crossed it on my way north yesterday and the ramps at 9pm coming home were still full getting boats out.
My father is long passed but I thought of him as soon as I saw this post early am yesterday, he was mostly a bank and farm pond fisherman for catfish, but I did get him on several great Striper trips at Texoma, the best day ever was throwing back 25 lb fish as fast as we could catch them for several hrs in the late 70's all before the big flood. I had to look at his picture with his 25# many times lately. This was at Burns Run area fishing out of Preston Camp. Every time I see this wonderful lake
he is with me as he took me my 1st time and many more.

I had the pleasure of fishing with Terry and my other Dad Ladies Man Ray. . And also got to meet terry's son Max other grand pa Bob. I had a blasts with y'all even though we had a hard time on the fish. Met Gas Passer ( Rick ) and what a great guy. Saw VIP austin and his crew out and about. Pat was out too. Steve had a boat full as well great to see you and your family. We ran into Paul as we were leaving good to see you too Paul. Good to be on the water today,

Happy Father's Day all. I had a buddy out on Tawak and he said the topwater hybrid bite was insane. I laid low with the wife but I did see a pretty blue Sea Fox in the Best Buy parking lot Sunday evening. I figured Steve was buying some fishing DVDs or it could have been his twin.
