Mark and I ran up to Texoma last night and about the worst day we've ever had. Launched about 5, turned left (west) out of Eisenhower for a run to the beach. On the way, I picked up 1 smallie, mark picked up 3 out of his "new special place" in a cove. Hung around at beach area waiting for stripers to make an appearance and they did.....for about 20 secs. I picked off 1 and they were gone. Didn't even get a blurry deer pic this trip - it was that bad.

And now that I read the whites/striper forum, I realize we probably should have turned right. I knew it.....I just knew it.

Agree. Of course the early weekend crowd starts showing up at noon. I'll be back at it late Sun and a few days next week.....the lake won't run out of stripers any time soon.

True, it is noon on Friday, so the weekend crowd is gearing up if not already on the water..good luck the next time out.

If you're looking for sympathy, get out of here! Last time I launched at Eisenhower I spent 6 hours out there and got skunked. splat

The striper story is no surprise, those things are always on the move. You've really had the smallies/blacks/crappie in a barrel tho!

Even on a bad day of fishing, Texoma is hard to beat. Made for a nice paddle. I forgive her.

Came back in at dark - at least the lights worked well.
