The markings are similar to a banded watersnake, but the shape of the head appears to be more like a viper, so I would say moccasin.

It's a dead snake. Either that or it's trying to get a tan on the underside of its neck.

Water snake. It does look bloated so that can be confusing. Moccassins are usually short and kinda fat and watersnakes are more long and skinny.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. It's certainly a N. rhombifer for many reasons, but it clearly not a Akistrodon piscivorus (cottonmouth) by only looking at the absence of a ventral pattern. Their dorsal banding extends to the ventral side. See below.
