Got time for one trip with my son this weekend, when has been the best, mornings or evenings? Also has there been any decent schooling on top the last week or so, my son lloves top water!
Why do today what you can put off till tomorrow,lets go fishin!!!

I would go in the middle of the night. Like 1am-3am has been when we're seeing the topwater bite!  Seriously, it hasnt really seemed to matter. I fished two very early mornings and saw squat for topwater this week. Whites don't seem to come alive until later in the morning. Have seen some small whites on topwater near sunset, but that was a couple weeks ago. Mostly everyones catching them deep, near lumber.
