It was a joke. Is there a limit to how much a person can post on here? Ive been a member for over a year and have posted less than he vast majority during that time frame. And just because someone disagrees with the author of a thread doesn't mean the thread went south. Usually when someone disagrees in a thread, a lot more information is shared that would otherwise gone unsaid. That would contribute even more to the thread and make it even better. Some people see the glass half full and others see it as half empty. I guess your a half empty kinda guy

Yall quite taking this thread literally. It was just a poor way of pointing out the hypocrisy of those that imply its only sporting to fish with a light line.
Yet when we see a big fancy boat with the latest and greatest of technology that offer any kind of edge or leg up we get envious.

I ain't getting rid of any of my equipment unless its to upgrade so I can put the fish at an even bigger disadvantage than they already are. I bet half or more of yall have more sophisticated technology and equipment on boards yalls boats than I do anyway lol.

Oh yeah and while you are at it just cut off the AC, electricity, gas, and water to the shanty. May as well sell the truck, get a bicycle, or walk-with no shoes. Put the sporting back in life.

I'm not taking your remark seriously. However, I only fish from the bank...well that was until a few weeks ago. I was always envious of all the guys out there on boats. I didn't and still don't have the money for one but I bought a kayak. I want a fishfinder but I don't have the money. I want the fancy rods and reels but I don't have the money. My point is please be respectful of all different types of fisherman. We may not all have the fancy stuff but we are on here doing the same thing....fishing! Oh and after my trip out yesterday and a boater flying past me three times trying to flip me I'm on the lookout for you disrespectful boaters out there.

I had fished with long bamboo pole as a child in small lakes and ponds for bull frogs and snakeheads... with just a large hook and a coil of mono line,...fun stuff! But today, though, with limited access, and bankfishermen have to deal wtih boats, etc. fish are deep and far from shore in most seasons....... yeah man, I need my surf rods and "fancy" reels so I can chuck my rigs to the nearest drop off, etc. Other than that I'm with you, I don't need no stinky electronics to catch fish... don't even own a "smart" phone, yet.
