If they are minty that's a good price.....I doubt you could do better for that money on any other reels....

good buy depending on the condition. The gold carbonlites are hard to come by and they seem to go hi price on ebay. The bps pq are a awesome reel for the price as well.

If you don't want them I'll take it. I have several pro qualifiers and carbon blacks. They are solid as a mule. I have never had an issue with any of them. I won't buy another reel for freshwater use other that a PQ.

My carbon black is a tank. Done nothing but deep cranking with it and it hasn't lost an inch in the year I've had it.

I have about 8 of the Johnny Morris Carbonlites and love them. Had several of the Johnny Morris Signature and Carbon Black reels and never had any problems with them.

ok thanks guys. I remember when the johnny morris elite came out and that was a super awesome reel. a buddy had one I bought a tour edition pt, and he bought that the elite for around 200 or so. i talked to him the other day and he said that it is still around working flawlessly. and the cool thing was that reel was so much lighter than my old tour edition.

I had 2 carbonlites and you could feel gear vibration on retrieve. Traded in for shimanos. Personally, I'd buy new lews speed spools on eBay for about $70 each before the bps. Just my opinion.

Go for it, IMO they are great reels. Put the carbonlite on a carbonlite rod and you can chunck it all day. I use that set up on a shakey head, it's lite and sensitive.
