Taking my first trip to Toledo Bend tomorrow, and looking for any advice. I'll be at the Pendleton bridge area of the lake. Thanks in advance!

I'd eat Pittsburg Hot Links everyday if they wouldn't kill ya!!!

Can't help much with that area as I have never fished that far North. I feel sure you can find some creeks and probably some brush piles to try. I would try to follow the creeks looking for fish and give it a shot. In summer I use a double system with a jig on bottom and a minnow up the line maybe 15" to 18" above the jig.
Just because you don't see standing timber here doesn't mean there is not any where your looking and is just under the water a little!

Stay close to the bouys in the boat lane as they only guarantee something like 20'.

If you happen to check in again, I would be looking for creeks and big tree lay downs or brush piles as both will hold crappie. Also look for water 25 to 35 foot deep in the creeks.

I will be looking for those deep laydowns in 18 + ft deep.
We caught 267 keepers in two days last time we were at the fin and feather resort and we hope to repeat that feat again tomorrow through sat.!

I'm always in a good mood when I'm fishing.
