Depends on what type of sonar your using. 2d, down imaging, side scan.....

Thanks Young Cat! Kansascatman my 998si c is a great unit. The thing I guess I'm wondering is when someone says try a mud flat at 25 feet, how do I know when I am on mud vs gravel?
