How do I know what size manual jack plate I need? I have a 2004 Ranger 185VS with a 150 Yamaha. Need some input on which one and what size. Thanks

6" plate is all that boat needs. don't expect a huge gain in mph, but overall performance should improve

It runs like a dream without one. I've never had a jack plate. Just wandering if I really need one or not.
