Cloudy day in spawn on Tyler, 3 bowfins in a row and a red fin catfish, out of the same cove. Yes, another amazonian fish, I would have turned it in for a record but the damn thing shook off at the boat.
Literately, had never caught a bowfin on Tyler, and caught all four in a row in about 15 minutes.
This is exactly what the catfish looked like: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Phractocephalus_hemioliopterus-Dixi.jpg
Tyler has a history of amazonian fish in it. The only lake in Texas with a Pacu Record. Hell, I've even pulled out a 15lb carp, that there's no current record for.

Had a customer caught a Tonka Truck on a Carolina rig in 28 ft. Craziest thing I have ever seen. I once caught a beer can with a jigging spoon and the spoon was all the way inside of the can.

How about catching a frog with a frog?? Done this, (frog on frog crime)...thought this was rare, but apparently not...frog legs, it was what's for dinner that week.......snapping turtle on a Yellow Magic out of a golf course pond (I had no pliers, knife, or weapon....but somehow managed to get my lure back without sustaining injury).....sea cucumber and a small dog shark while halibut fishing in Alaska.....as far as gators are concerned, I'll throw some small rocks at 'em, but since hearing about an incident that Russell Parrish had with one, I won't be throwing a lure that I don't wanna lose in their general vicinity.... Thankfully, Jersey hasn't posted a pic he so "lovingly" shared from last year, I think...

Bullfrog on a worm, freshwater drum on a kastmaster spoon, an old doll (that one freaked me out a little), hooked a small bass and a bigger bass ate it so I landed both (and the small bass survived), also hooked a lost line with a bass on the end of it, I hooked a decent bass at amon carter and she spit out my hook and a small sand bass...my hook caught the semi digested sandie as she threw my hook, and lastly I foul hooked a shad while using a kastmaster spoon which mimic shad...I guess it thought it would try to school up with my lure.

Caught a submerged 16ft aluminum canoe .....was throwing some plastics and the hook got caught on the rope of the canoe that was tied off to a broken post. Canoe was in good shape so we tied it to the top of the bass boat and home went...like the beverly hillbillys of fishing.

I think Jersey Dan wins!!! That's just nasty!
Here are some of the things I have caught over the years.
1. A grown man creeping along the bank dressed head to toe in woman's under garments including garter belt and stockings. Had to be an initiation!
2. Snagged a 40lb carp in the side with a crank bait while fishing from a bass buster. That was a ride!
3. A six foot alligator that we thought was dead ( it wasn't )!
4. A buzzard that swooped out of a tree and got a rattle trap stuck in it's wing. Did you know that buzzards can't swim very well?
5. Grey crane on Fork at night. Thought it was a bite till I set the hook and screamed and splashed in the lake.
6. I told a buddy once that if a bass swam by my c-rig and far8ed on it i would hook him in the a$$. I barely got it out of my mouth before it happened and I missed it by about a 16th of an inch. Reeled that bass in upside down and backwards. 3
I'm sure there are a lot more that I am leaving off but those stand out.

You must have had a sensitive rod to feel the fart! I caught a traffic cone once and not sure if this is rare or not but one of the first fish I caught was a 3 foot long alligator gar off of a SK rattle trap.
At first it was about the fish, now it's about so much more...

My friend caught the spine of a deer. Head and antlers still attached. Couple years later the pond dried up during the drought and there were four other small bucks at the bottom. Someone had been poaching on his land and throwing the carcass's in that pond.
Few men ever reach, in any one direction, the limits of their possibilities. As in commerce, so here, the relation of supply to demand rules. Our mechanical and intellectual forces increase or decrease according to the demands made upon them. He who uses most will have most to use.

In 2010 I caught a Green Bay Packers hat out of Lake Athens the day before the super bowl.
