I've always resisted the face and hand coverings because I thought they would be too hot. I also hate for my sunglasses to get fogged up. Tammi and I fished with Pack last week and he was wearing the gillz mask. He wore it all day and really liked it. I ordered me and Tammi one and I have to tell you I'm really sold. It has side vents and a large mesh area on the front. Today I fished all day with a buddy and he was burnt to heck this evening when we got off the water and I was not burned at all. I don't think its any hotter with it or without it. Before each run to a new spot I also just took my hand and dipped it in the lake get my shirt and the mask wet... worked great. I'm gonna order a couple more to have as spares.

Just to add to the sun protection thread... I'm a Consumer Reports subscriber and according to them the Target branded sunblock in the white and orange container is the best... and much cheaper than the name brand products.

Bought a Buff at academy for the Skeeters owners and loved it. Plan on getting another one and using them all the time.

I got the buff and still use it most of the day but feel its just too thick in this hot sun. So till I find another brand I just cool it off with some drinking water and it helps tremendously.
I will say when wearing it for at least half the day my ears have been in much better shape due to these products. I recommend if you don't have one get one.

We took every mask we could find and wore them. Then we took all the good and the bad and developed the Gatorlayer from over 20 prototypes. It covers your entire neck area, will not fog your glasses, moisture wicking cooling fabric, stays over the ears, and most important made in the USA. Owned and operated in Texas. www.gatorlayer.com
