I was out on Lewisville Lake Saturday afternoon and came thru the Lake Dallas Cut. IT was about 5 pm. A guy was in the water swimming, boats were all around him. I stopped and offered to give him a ride, life jacket or a rope. The only thing he said is was getting tired. I stayed beside him to make sure he didn't get run over. He made it to the north shore of the Lake Dallas Cut and was standing in the water. I asked him if he was ok and he just kept on going in the water a few feet off shore. The north shore had several fisherman on it. So i felt they could help and look after him. After a few minutes of him just not talking but standing in the water i left. I prayed for him and hoped for the best. I also have a picture of the man. He was a white man with no shirt. I know a young man drowned on Friday. Not the same guy. Be careful on the lake.

For some reason, I see lots and lots of strange things on Lake Lewisville. It's one of the most dangerous lake in the US right?

Sunday wasn't much better. Lot's of crazy/stupid stuff going on out on the water. Had a tough time finding any big schools of fish. Found one nice group of magnum sandys out at the gravel pits (25ft). Caught about half a dozen or so and poof they were gone. Headed to the cut and that was mistake. Lots of boats and jet skis blowing through the no wake zone. With the heat and no wind my fuse was getting short so I made one more stop and called it day. Had a really nice sunset to enjoy on the way to the dock. Where I happened to see a guy in a jet boat hit another guy on a jet ski and flip him over. He wasn't hurt so I loaded up the boat and got the heck off the lake. Ryan S.

Lewisville is in the top 3 most dangerous lakes in Texas. I been fishing this lake for 20 years, and im thankful I havent been killed on that lake in that 20 year span. Way to many beer stores so close to the water.

Sorry Johnny, I was just so focused I couldn't talk. My wifes birthday is comming up so I'm training to get my endurance up.

I agree with Tom, it's not the lake. It's the people acting like dummies near and in the water.

my question is where is the law enforcement? I never see any game wardens or any other type of law enforcement unless they are searching for a body. I think that for safety's sake the lake could use a more watchful eye.

I see all crazy people doing stupid things and there's not a single law enforcement around especially at the cut. One time i saw a jet ski just cut in front of a boat at full speed. Idiot jet skier. I don't fish on weekend no more. We do it on Friday now. Folks your be extra careful out there. Lots of stupid people at the lake now.

I did see the Game warden boat by Sneaky Petes and by Tower bay boat ramp on Saturday. One boat is not enough for that lake.

The sheriff has been at Little Elm boat ramp the last two weekends and prolly has carpal tunnel from writing tickets, checked me last weekend and I was good to go... I asked him whats the deal with the distance a boat can get from you he said 50 feet... I told him that there where lots of crazies out and he said I should prolly just fish during the week... too bad I have to work...

That's why I only go out on Mondays and Tuesdays...especially since I'm in a yak with my little trolling motor.

I saw the same thing but it was five swimmers. I saw them from a distance and as you can imagine I thought I had hit the motherload schooling so I raced over to find out otherwise. they were out in open water coming from pier 121 headed to the cut.
Crazy....
