There is an area that has a lot of flooded timber in Holiday park. It looks easily accessible, does this area hold any fish? I would like to find some catfish on the kayak. I had trouble yesterday catching live bait (did not have a cast net), any hints?

I have fished in the Trinity below the spillway near the golf course, set some jug lines with chicken livers but did not have much response.

I have caught blues camping at holiday between the timber and the bank. Closer to the boat ramp.
