....had that happen a while back on the Diversionary Canal down in Hitchcock. There was a Pelican on the bank that was following my younger Brother and I as we worked the bank pulling in some flounder. Brother slaps the water right in front of the Pelican and the darn bird took the jig!
Luckily it was caught in the side of his beak and it was an easy release.
...so good it tastes like it died screaming!
