Hey guys, I just posted about me going to Lake Austin, but what I meant was I am going to Lake Travis, in Austin. I have never been to this lake and any advice about where you can catch them would be appreciated.

I heard a report from yesterday that crankbaits in 2-20 FOW were catching large numbers of blacks, whites and guads.

I would focus on main lake points and docks

Lake Austin + first time + Saturday in June is not a very good equation.

He would probably have a shot at at catching 50+ fish on Travis tomorrow and not get swamped in the process.

You can launch off the bank at Dink Pearson Park or Pace Bend Park, Pace makes sense if you are coming from south or off 71, Dink if coming from north of Austin or off of 183. Dink is free and I believe Pace is $12.

All public ramps are currently out of the water.

There is a private ramp at Highland Lakes Marina on the lower end in Volente, but it is $20.
