Hello all, I will be Lake Texoma out of the Sheppard Annex in a few weeks and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction (not trying to get secret spots or gps coordinates) or give me some general tips. Is the area around the annex any good? We will be in a rented boat (from the Sheppard annex) and will be targeting largemouth bass. I would not mind catching some smallmouth or stripers also though banana Pms are welcome and will not be shared. Thanks in advance, Doug.

You are going to be on the far west end of the lake, not really smallmouth water but there are some good largemouths in the area. Pitch at any wood cover you see in the water and fish the rocky points to the east of you on the Texas side.

Thanks Chris! Where would be some good areas for some brownies? I am not sure what kind of boat we are getting (the outdoor rec site says "bass boat")so we could end up with a Bass Tracker or maybe a fiberglass bass boat, and we have to pay for gas. This may or may not impact how far we are willing to drive. On the other hand, if I can catch some big largemouths, that would be okay too!

YOU NEED TO GO WAY UP NORTH TO GET IN TO GOOD SMALLIE WATER. Up by Eisenhower Park, where the Washita runs into the lake,etc.. and fish rocky areas, with flukes, small grubs and finesse type baits.
