Gday TFFers Just thought I post a few pics from my last Barramundi expedition. We caught around 45 (lost count) is 5 days, smallest went 89cm and the biggest was a very respectable 119cm and at a guess up around 80lb. All were caught off the surface in no deeper than 3ft of water, awesome fun, these fish go crazy spending more time out of the water than in and when not in the water they barn storming runs. The last pic is of a Mulloway I caught first cast at spot we stopped at for a quick fish on the way home. enjoy https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/383_133733893496142_1788026191_n.jpg In the immortal words of Croc Dundee (must read with Aussie accent) Barra's a bloody big fish.

thanks all Leever the ones you get in the salt water are pretty good chewin but these came out of pure fresh and they get a big fat build up plus a muddy taste,I never eat them,as you said they are an iconic Aussie sport fish.

There was a fellow raising them in Florida for the restaurant trade. He would let you fish for $400 per half day. 15 to 20 lb fish in a small pond.
I heard a cold spell in south Florida a few years ago killed them all.
Cool photos, that is one fish I have always wanted to catch. Maybe some day.
thanks for posting
