What specific rod do y'all prefer for throwing squarebills?

I'm all for using the right rod for the right application, but any rod with a decent amount of tip action should work fine for squarebills.

I don't know what the best is, but I like my H2O Ethos crankbait rod. 7'. Does a great job.

I think those Square Bill hats look a little silly on me. I personally like a little bend in my bill. But heck, whichever way you like em. I think any rod you want to fish with while wearing a square bill hat will work. Haha
Seriously, I use my Skeet Reese cranking stick.

"Best" is purely subjective. This spring I bought a Loomis GLX 855 CBR to throw traps and shallow crankbaits including squarebills. So far....LUV it!

I use Dobyns,Gloomis,Z-bones,Falcon Caras...bla,bla,bla..but this rod http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Wright__McGill_Rick_Clunn_S-Glass_Reaction_Rods/descpage-WMRCC.html (at least for me) is the best I have used so far for crankbaits and traps alike, cheap, very light for a glass rod, good tip with decent casting distance and excellent backbone, ugly as hell but very efficient, this rod does all the work for you, trust me your arm and shoulder are going to thank you after 3 days of casting with this rod.
May the Force be with you.

It depends how you're fishing the bait. I have a short (6.3 heavy rod) that's awesome for crashing through wood. It's my only Shimano rod and it works great.
