Hi there Texas Fishing Forum! New member here. Recently started fishing again... I remember my father taking me out many years ago to the Lake Lewisville Fishing Barge... GOOD memories! I've been searching around for some new spots to hit, the Barge is great fun but a bit of a drive from where I am now. I tried Grapevine yesterday, may have just been the location, but didn't seem to have much luck... Today at 6 A.M I caught some decent size catfish at Chisholm Park in Hurst.
So just basically looking for some spots around the Hurst / Bedford area to try out... if anyone has any suggestions on some spots that would be much appreciated! Happy fishing smile The fish below is the baby Buffalo from the Barge yesterday... Would love to have more of these closer than a 35 minute drive smile

Welcome to the forum! What particular fish are you targeting or it doesn't matter? There's a pond off 360 and Post Padlock behind the apt. complex. Very big pond and you can park at the apt parking and walk down there. You will need a code to get in. This pond has all kinds of fish. Largemouth, crappie, yellow bass, cats, gar, carp, etc... There are abundant of Largemouth feeding on top early and toward the evening. Just PM if interested and I'll give you the code. Good luck

Guy

Check out the bank fishing section of this forum. Lots of info there for area ponds and such. In the HEB area, you can try the pond at the Bedford Boys Ranch. Colleyville Nature Center has several ponds too and only about 10 min from Bedford.
