I got a Intex explorer 200 and it says 0.45 psi.or -->0<--= 0.031 bar.it looks like the 0 and arrows it is a dot with an arrow on each side and says = 0.031 but what does that mean? So my question is how can I tell when it is completely inflated without a psi guage?
Thanks

I think you'll need a gauge to tell for sure.

Thanks but I really don't feel like paying $35 bucks for a little gauge. ridiculous.

If it sinks when you get in it... Add more air.

... If it makes a big POP sound... You've added too much air.
Seriously though, it is pretty hard to over inflate my inflatable yak. As long as it feels firm to the touch (hah) it should do alright.

Until it feels firm. One thing to consider on these is that they change pressure throughout the day due to tempratures. I have inflated boats early in the morning and by mid day that sucker looked like it was going to pop from the air expanding inside it as the day got hotter. Just inflate till its firm but still has some give to it. Then watch it thorughout the day to make sure it's not leaking, or expanding too much.

Thanks The number to look for is 0.45psi. It means that, if you used a dowel with a 1 square inch surface area, it'll take 0.45 pounds to push the wall a little bit. Car tires are filled to about 32psi, meaning that, if were to old down a 1 square inch plug at the valve, it'll take 32 lbs of pressure to hold it in place. Short version, 0.45psi means "firm to the touch".

if you leave in a van and 100 degree day with it filled up tight it will probably pop. heat expands it big time. cool winter they lose air. keep an eye on it
