Fished Fork yesterday with my friend Art. We were having a decent day when he hooks into a 2lb LMB. As he brings it to the boat. The biggest bass I've ever seen comes out of the the dark, and try's to eat Arts hooked bass. We both freaked out a little, then sat on that spot for about an hour, but couldn't get it to bite. Anybody have a guess how big a bass is that is feeding on other 2lb+ bass. It looked well over 10lb to me. Maybe it's time to invest in some Hudbaits!

Swimm baits, fished in a figure eight style, I use a Crappie imitation and they seem to like that a lot. Have caught several DD and a SAL on them

A Large shad would have been my choice to get that big Fish to bite.

The TFF never disappoints, always entertaining.

Over the years I have seen 5 of the biggest Bass of my life knock a 1 lb. Bass or Shad out and while it was quivering swimming in a circle on the surface it came up and swallowed it.
In my opinon that is why Papamark's technique works so well.

You have to let them swallow it when they grab one like that. No hook to get them with.

when I first saw the Strike King XD10 Crankbait I thought they are CRAZY if a bass will eat that big thing.. then last week while fishing a "popular" point @ Fork, I see a guy wearing them out on that thing. I've seen it where fishing the smallest dropshot stick bait works, then when they are hungry they'll eat just about anything.

That's it after you get it back to the boat, have had several come from under the boat to take it, keep it on top of the water, and RED, I use a 7-0 heavy wire hook that is exposed, Gets em every time.
