Has anyone used this to restore the waterproofing of any of their Gore tex? If so how did it work?
After today I think my Simms Gore Tex Pac Lite Jacket might have lost a little of its waterproofing. Or it may have just ran down my neck as I didn't use the hood but usually the collar seems to do much better than it did today.

Have you just wash & dry [warm] to see if that might help? might start out that way ..before treating..

I used the kind from Tackle Warehouse (forgot the name). Spray on and dry. Restored back to new!

It seemed to help some on my bibs. Beats having to buy new gear. If water got under or through your gear(not just a damp feeling) its time for new gear, no product will fix that. My understanding is that the "wet out" isn't letting the water through, just the feeling of dampness. The only way water gets through is a hole.

If you read on the internet about gore tex...the first thing they say to do is wash it with mild soap and dry in on warm setting. Or iron the surface with low iron setting and a tee shirt or towel between the iron and the surface. The last thing they say to do is spray it. You want to keep it so the fabric will still breathe!

Talked to the folks at Gore directly because my hunting stuff was not keeping me dry. They -- the product people -- said to wash the product with either the renewal-type products (they would not endorse one) or just water, NO detergent, then dry it on the highest setting. He also recommended that you do this after you buy it new because garments get handled so much in the store. Has worked for me and my hunting buds, hope it helps you.
