Is there any thing i can do about a loose reel seat on an exo100??? Is jiggles th slightest bit but im scared to do any home maintenence, never had this problem with shimano or revos, js thot id give quantum another go. Hope some one can help me with some possible fixes???

That's a bad design, IMO. I don't understand why they did not make it a one piece frame. My advise would be to contact quantum. That should be covered under warranty as a manufacturers defect.

Thank u very much, i was trying to avoid tht move for the reason tht id have to part with it but i will contact them. Thank very much for the suggestion CBB!!! I don't know if tape would hold it, but you could always try j.b. weld if you want a quick fix.

Jb weld is a great thot! Totally forgot that one!!! I think i like tht idea along with contacting quantum. Iv seen some revoews where this also happened to others. My only concern is that they wont honor it as th reel would have went thru a slight modification process if i use jb weld on it... Any thots...

Turn it in under warranty and be patient. That's your best bet.

Teflon tape, wrap heck out of it and tighten down. Back in the day the old first gen Allstar reel seats would get loose. fixed many that way. I think I have a powell or Kistler that I wrapped the reel seat with Teflon tape.

spoke with quantum and explained the problem, the lady said it sounds like defect so send it in to service dept with a note stating the problem and they would let me know something. like superg said, i guess im gonna be patient but who wants to spend that kinda money on a reel to have it so something like that, iv had a few reels spools get stiff on me meaning i had to heave the s**t out of them for them to only go bout 10 yards, loosened the brakes al the way, oil and lubed it! but still wud not throw like it was spose to! luckily i had the recipt and the store honored it, now i say luckily! but thanks guys for the help, hopefully i wont have to wait til the new exos come out for me to get my problem resolved

The quantum service team helped me out once. Pretty satisfied with them.
