Like a lot of you, I am tired of the wind but decided to go anyway yesterday...and blow it did...

I put in at Buck Creek, went straight to the 377 bridge and started fishing using some of my newly tied jigs and I found out they work...I stayed at the bridge for about 2 hours then headed to the timber looking....nada so I came back to the bridge and had an absolutely wonderful day...

Total catch was probably 40 or so and I kept 14...here are two composites of some of the fish...

If you can see in the lower right hand corner of this next one, I was close enough to the ramp to see my truck and watch it....

I caught most of the crappie (probably 30) on this jig...wish I had tied more than 3 (tying 2 dozen today)...I had some standard red and yellow but they really slowed down and I didn't stay in one place...

I am headed to fork either tonight or early tomorrow morning for a few days and will bass fish and crappie fish...

have a great week ahead all and I will report when I get back...

by the way...if any of you "Forkster's" see an old beat up sand colored ranger with a 150 Johnson, stop by and say hello...I will be from above the 515 on the west arm down around and up to the 154 bridge by the minnow bucket...

man, 10 years has been tooooooo long....

I am wondering...do the crappie still bite this color at Fork...they used to tear it up...I tied these knowing I was gonna go to Fork one of these days...

thanks all...

@coach...yes sir, that's them...no real size with a couple coming in at 1.5...

Fork is going to be fun...I have been lazing around today...tying jigs and resting...

I know "if there ain't no pics, it didn't happen" and I know about fish stories, lord knows I have told enough of them, but I lost the biggest one I have ever had on a hook...probably pushing 3 or a little over...thought it was a bass to begin with, got her to the top and she was laying on her side, turned to get my net...got the net, and as I was reaching, she flipped and pulled the hook...I just sat there dazed for a few minutes...

Headed to Ray Bob in the morning. Wonder what impact this "cold" front will have. All i know is the wind wont be howling 30 outta the South. So, fish or no fish its gonna be a nice day.
