So the darn wind has been driving us crazy. Went out last Sunday to Lavon, just to get blown off the lake with all the gusting wind. Marked a bunch of fish but only a few takers. Back to home lake Hubbard today, got up at 5:40 and the wind was still gusting, so I thought I would wait it out some. Had breakfast with the wife then we headed out about 9:30 still windy but nothing like it has been. Launched out of Terry Park, stopped at Terry Park point, caught 10 only 1 keeper not marking much, checked Yankee Creek points nothing, went to sweet 16 marked some fish on the edge of the hump in 25 fow, but no takers, headed over to the damn marked a ton of fish between buoy 2 and 3 in 30 fow, spot locked. And it was game on caught multiple nice hybrids two big ones that spooled my reel and pulled the hook before I landed them. Ton's of nice sand bass. At one point we were just throwing the fish in the bottom of boat it was one after another for an hour see picture,I had to stopped and revive them to throw them back. All fish were caught on Mepps #4 and released. My wife and I caught right at 100 today. Again thanks to Dennis for introducing me to his Mepps method.

Way to go, Steve!! What's funny is that I was thinking of doing a post asking where the Ray Hubbard crew went today we didn't see hardly a soul out there today

Yes it pretty much was a ghost town, only one other trailer at the Terry Park ramp. Not another boat around us for over an hour until a skier showed up. Went all the way around to Red Barn and back and no one?

Yes it has taken some time to get it right, but I believe my wife and I have the hang of it now. It is sure different. I will be out there tomorrow again, if you see me stop by and holler.

My wife Patsy and I went down to our boat docks to paint and stain. There was a total of one boat trailer in the parking lot. That is something for Harbor Bay Marina.

Looks like the son is off work till 3 tomorrow so we are going to give it a go in the morning also!

Nice report Steve! I've been in MA all weekend at my youngest cousins graduation. Gonna be another long work week, hopefully get out next weekend a bit! Are you fishing the LTSA tourney?

Glad to see Lisa's therapy is going well, Steve! I need some of that therapy too Great pics! You guys should do LTSA. Many hubbard guys are fishing LTSA next week.
