 Litter: picking up weird strings with hooks on the river

I was out kayaking on a river recently and couldn't believe how much litter there was. I kept finding these weird strings with hooks that were stretched between trees. They seemed dangerous so I cut them in to pieces and brought them back to throw away.
Sometimes I see them on lakes too and do the same. I really wish people wouldn't litter so much. But I'll continue to pick up the trash.
And I brought back a nice haul of channel cats.

If you're going to cut peoples trot lines, you might want to get something a lot faster than a kayak...

I just always follow the rule to leave a place better than I found it. It only take a few minutes to clean the trash up. Plus it could hurt someone.
