My family is going on vacation to Orlando the middle of July this year. My dad and I would like to go deep sea fishing while we are there. We want to go out in the Atlantic and not the gulf. Any suggestions?
What city would be the best to go out of? We will be renting a car so it would need to be within a couple hours of Orlando.
Long Live The Matador....!

I went out the last two years out of Cocoa Beach with Cocoa Beach Sportfishing Charters. Both times went out on the "Centerfold" and had a great time. First time was with the owners son, who is a captain and the second time with the owner. Got us on good fish and was very fun to spend the day with.

Yeah Cocoa Beach would be the place to go. Straight east from Orlando. Not familiar with any charters out there though.

Cocoa Beach by the ports or just drive down the main road and they are everywhere. The one I saw down there a few weeks ago was at Sunrise Marina by Pier 1. There are lots of folks shore fishing on the road to Port Canaveral.

Port Canaveral has several charters as well as a party boat. I fished on the Miss Cape Canaveral (party boat) many years back. The day before we went out I drove to the marina to buy tickets and noticed that all the boats seem to come back at around the same time. That was pretty cool because we were able to see which boats were catching fish and which boats weren't. You could also ask the fishermen how they liked the crews. One guy told me it was the worst trip of his life but others obviously caught a lot of fish and were very happy. If you google Port Canaveral fishing several charters show up.

Look up "Fish Box Charters" online...Capt. Lee Meyers...Buddy of mine...He knows his stuff. Boat looks a little tathered, that's because it catches fish. Tell him "CudaBob" sent you. He'll put you on em!!!

Alex Sorice with Ofishal Business Charters. Just got back from fishing 2 days with him and I have never had a charter as good as that.
