I use mquires car spay wax. Just a dab buffed in with a micro fiber cloth. Buff lightly till a shine. It will repel water and fill the pores of glass and keep the water stains away. Works well for me.

I have a 798 hd combo. I broke the transducer bracket and scuffed it up. Replaced the bracket and everything work except my right side imagining is dark. I know it's not my unit cause I put it on my buddies boat an worked fine. Guess I just need a second opinion.

Sounds like the RH element might have gotten damaged or the wiring for the RH Element. Sounds liek you need a new transducer with your cross testing already done.

When I bought my CC boat a few months ago, I put an 898 in my console. I've decided that it was too small for the chart/sounder combo, so I purchased and installed an 1198 in it's place. I want to move the 898 to the bow and install the transducer on the trolling motor (Ipilot). Is it possible to link the two, to enable the front one to share the GPS antenna and the Navionics/Lake Master cards? Also, will it be possible for both units differentiate between the bow and stern HD/DI transducers and the high speed through hull transducer? Doug, I viewed your how to on youtube for installing the transducer on an Ipilot, very helpful.

Yes for choosing either the bow or transom transducers. No for separating the shoot-thru and SI hook up. They are the same as just the SI transducer by itself.

Do i need a seperate side imaging tranducer?? What are the other two units? Are they connected now and with what connection? Only the Ethernet connection will allow sharing accessories. Only Ethernet can be used for more than 2 units. All the units would have to be Ethernet capable. Only Side Imaging units can display Side Imaging and only a Side Imaging transducer has the crystals for producing the images for Side Imaging.

My 788 hd Di. Has issues, the unit keeps dropping the gps signal it will work fine for an hour or two . A screen will pop up stating that no GPS IS CONNECTED. I have to turn it off wait about 5 mins and it will work again for a little while then repeat... What can I do! I love my birds but I'm so pissed right now. The amount of money you spend on electronics should minimize the frustrations!
