Making one last trip before summer classes start. Meeting an good friend in Shreveport then launching on the Louisiana side. (I believe at Kool Point??) Anyone want to share any productive areas of the lake? (not asking for specific honey holes) Or any general patterns? Hopefully I can finish the puzzle from there

Thanks for all of the help!!

Just returned two weeks ago and NOT an expert by ANY stretch, but I learned that you should fish the trees on the edge of the 3-4 foot water and the deep water (that's a joke) that's 5-7 feet deep. Then, flip your favorite dark plastic quietely and make it hit the tree about one foot above the water level and slide down the tree. If any clouds or wind come, throw a spinner bait, but fish is like a jig, or throw it past the tree and run it into the tree when it comes by. Key......hit the friggin tree!!!

Thanks for the help Yancey. I'll post a report and some pics when I get back on Sunday.

I'll be out there in a red Bass Cat if anyone sees us out there. Swing by and say hi

Just got back from Caddo and wow, what an amazing lake. We had no idea what to throw or where to go because the entire lake looks so productive. So Friday night I have Mark Allen (BassCoach) a call to see if he could help us out. Mr. Allen gave me way more info than I was expecting so Saturday morning we got out there at first light and followed his advice and right away his advice was spot on. We ended up catching 22 fish Saturday including 7 OVERS!! Our biggest five went 21.5 pounds with a 6 lb kicker. What a great day on an amazing lake, and a huge thank you to Mr. Allen for going out of his way to make this a great trip. He is a great guy and sure knows how to put you on the fish. Mr. Allen, I look forward to fishing with you next time I'm out your way. And for anyone thinking about making a trip to Caddo anytime soon, I STRONGLY recommend booking Mr. Allen for a day or two, it will be worth it. I believe it's Allen's Guide and Tpur Service. Thanks again Mr. Allen!!

Thanks BanjoMinnow. I'm glad I could help you guys out. Yes Caddo is fishing good. It is one of those lakes where everything looks good, but we all know it doesn't work like that. If anyone is looking for a trip out on Caddo give me a call. www.caddolakeguideservice.com

Mr. Allen,
I'll definitely book some time with you later this summer. My 10 year old loves to fish Caddo. Do you guide during the week?
