I noticed we have quite a few lakes on the list to be built. Does anyone know when they are slated for completion?

The Lower Bois d' Ark creek reservoir up by Bonham is suppose to be done by 2020 It is to be 16,526 surface acre. They have bought most of he land and the rest I guess they are in the process of getting it by means of eminent domain.

Takes a long time for the state to steal land from families.

Tthese are interesting stories of how these lakes get started. It would be neat to watch. It's crazy that it takes 25 to 35 years to develop a new lake.

I wish they would hurry up and get Turkey Creek started out next to Palo Pinto Lake. That is one beautiful lake, would be nice to have a twin sister lake!

As much as I disagree with most imminent domain situations, I think that reservoirs are one few that do have some merit.

I wish they would build a small lake, about 500 acres around me that the TPWD actually stocked AND there was a no wake rule.

Be safe,

I was told by a relative that works for Tarrant county water that they are planning a pipeline from Palestine to Cedar Creek so it will be a constant level lake.
