Found one sitting in a box in my parents storage building, are they worth anything?

Money wise they are not expensive. Don't expect to be able to cast it well, but should troll and up and down fish well. Some folks cast them on surf rods, but expect that to take some skill to develop.

Used like new if US made about $35, great reel, I have caught some very good fish on my father's 309 and still use it.
