I'm not a fan of big winds, but on most of those days with rain in the forecast, it won't be raining most of the day. You might be able to sneak in a few hours fishing between storms.

True. Just glad that the lake here is full at the beginning of the summer! We could always use the rain though!

Safety being the big concern I usually avoid the winds in the little boat. More and more I find myself considering fishing wind breaks and points where the waves meet calm water.

With smart phones and radar with past and future animations storms are getting easier to avoid or stay in front of. Still, hard to overcome the urge to stay out of tough weather conditions.

i feel your pain, for a month almost now i have been stuck at work on a towboat just watching the fish taunting me not 5 feet away. have ordered a small generator and flood lights to put on my 15.5 foot raycreft that does not like the rough well. am trying to set up so i can go at night after the wind calms down on my 10 days off. maybe we will get some calm days while im home. still working on getting the mrs used to going out on the water at night. best of luck to ya!

Yeah, looks like I'm sticking to the slips tomorrow. I was really looking forward to getting out on the water but with 35 mph gusts it's just not worth the hassle.

It does not look like there is a dance to slow the wind....

Boat slips for me this week.

This wind is wearing me out. I hate it.

The wind has been blowing pretty good lately. And thank God for the rain. Still, it's been a week since I've felt the thump and either I'm on the road to recovery and have become a recovering thumpaholic or I'm gonna go on a binge soon.

Anyone else needing a fix out there?
