Good charger--if you do not use every day, put a timer on it to charge 4-6 hours a day--start with 6 and go from there. If batteries are new, it will keep up batteries and not stay on all time. Easier on batteries and charger. Good luck.

So I can't just leave it plugged in? I want something to keep plugged in for how ever long need be and have faith in it and long lasting batteries. Am I asking to much lol?

No--you can do that. I like the timers, but many just leave them on--they are supposed to go to trickle mode when charged. Experiment and do what works for you----

Those things will fry in the heat if you leave them plugged in. Come summertime, I only charge at night. I had two [censored] out under warranty before I figured this out.

Buy a Minn-Kota charger, even if you leave it plugged in too long it does have overload protection, and once the batteries are charged the charger shuts off and maintains the batteries. 12 amps is a little bit much for charging marine batteries, I stick with 10 or less, it takes longer to charge but it gives you a better charge and your batteries will last longer.

The 12 amp between two so really it's 6 to each battery to my understanding from what I read on the box. It was a toss up between the two thanks so far I'm happy.

Guest Chargers it only cost a little more to go first class. I've been using the same one for ten years, plugged in every night-Never a problem.
