I am kinda looking at a Z8 and a Z9 , if you have either model what is your thoughts on them. The Z9 has more standard accessories I know. Just looking on owner feedback. They will be also. Thanks

I have a Z8 was looking at new ones, if you add the stuff on the Z9 to the Z8 they would be almost the same price. I have talked to several of the people that rig and test run them they tell me the Z8 has a better hole shot. Also If I get another Z8 it wont have the 250 I dont need to run 76. I can take the 3000 and buy 2 power poles or whatever.

I am leaning towards the Z9 with a 250 on it. But also considering a Z8, if I can rig the Z8 with most the stuff and a 225 and add 2 power poles for about the same price as a Z9 with out the power poles will probably go with the Z8.

I know a few people with the Z8 or Z9 and only one had any issues to speak of. They are big boats that fish well from what I understand..

Also I would go to a Tracker dealer instead of BPS better service.

I have a 2012 Z8 and have hade no problems. I have 225HP and that's plenty of motor... The only big difference for me between Z8 & Z9 is the front deck layout and driver console. I prefer the Z9 layout but I don't regret my purchase on the Z8 either...

I dont have a Z8 or Z9 but i got a 2013 Z7 earlier this year and I love it. warranty is great and i had 2 tiny issues went to local tracker dealer and fixed with Zero hassle and shook my hand ... find you a good local dealership ... The buying process is AWESOME. local skeeter dealership told me i had to fill out a credit app and commit to a boat before they would even SHOW me one! ... CRAZY! And i have guys that have skeeters and rangers and they all like the ride for the size boat. I looked at skeeter and triton and NITRO was far and away better for my price range and boat .. tons of room and the boat can handle 2 275 lb guys on the front and my boat is smaller then the 2 you are looking at....

Front deck layout is why I would love to buy a nitro and the Z9 has a better layout for my needs than the z8

I have a Z9 with a 250 on it and it is a great boat to fish from. Tons of storage and the front deck has way more room than most boats I have seen. Comes out of the hole plenty quick and has a good ride. Only thing I might change is TM (24/82 lbs). Might upgrade that to a 36/109 as the boat is heavy and in the wind I think that would be better.

What I have notice with the Nitros is bad carpet looks like it wears quick. Even on the showroom floor it looks and feels like its not top grade material.

I have fished out of my BILs many times. Deck space and storage is nice bit the carpet is tearing, the seats are tearing, and the front deck is sagging in the middle where he stands. A few hinges are loose as well and he is a former marine and takes more than great care of it. He said he probably wouldn't own another one after this one.

I've owned two Nitros and loved them both. My current boat is a fully rigged Z9 with a 250 and I'd recommend a Z9 to anyone looking for a new boat.

You must have caught someone on a bad day/new guy/etc. I've had great service from the sales guys at H&W and Plano Marine unless you went to some other Skeeter dealer. I contemplated a Nitro Z8 but I rarely keep a boat over 3 years and due to the old perceptions about them they still don't hold resale well plus the nationally advertised price is the stripper price. When you add the things you want on there it gets up pretty quick but you still have trouble selling it for a reasonable price because everyone sees "Brand new Z8 for 31995". Nevermind the one you're selling has a 250, two SI units, and two power poles and only 150 hours, they see a used boat that only cost 31995 new. Still good looking boats though.
