Just like it says. I hear to use braid with a floro leader or straight floro but does anyone use just trilene xl?

I sometimes use mono leader on my braid on my one spinning reel aka pencil sharpener I seldom use.

I use 6 lb mono on my little rig, for sunfish/bream.
The next size up spinning rig has 20 lb braid with 60 ft 12 lb Sunline Super Flourocarbon leader. I guess it's really too long to be called a leader, but it works for me whatever you call it.

Need to improve my LMB fishing, running out of time.

I have a president spooled completely with 8 pound mono, is this something I shouldn't do?

My personal favorite line for spinning reels is P-Line CX Premium.

Not Trilene.
T-Line copolymer, 6 lb., brown.

I used 10lb big game all spring and have caught over 100 fish on that set up with maybe 2 or 3 break offs. Now I do re-string about ever other trip and re-tie any time a feel the end is frayed. Mono is the best for me but I know many others like Floro and braid.

+1. Tried mono, flouro, and have friends who use braid. Always seem to out catch them. Can't say if it is the line but I'm not going to change to find out. No green stuff either.

+1 - I took a tip from The Fishing Physicist several years ago and I use P-line CX Premium on all my spinning reels. A little KVD line conditioner makes it even better. I like the clear/blue flourescent because it helps me see line movement.

In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.
