Depending on the lews yo u want I'd probably buy the reel first on discount. A bucoo can be gotten for only 120-150 any day od the week. But a discount on a higher end lews reel may be worth jumping on. My .02

If you can buy both and shhe would not notice whats the problem? I buolt a rack on my garage roof that hold 35 rods so my wife wouldnt notice new ones coming in and got a 600 lb safe for new guns just so i could have new stuff show up while she was at work. If yours dont care and you are still in debate your woman is a keeper!

If mine was mad and left me id still buy 2-3 just to tes the waters to see if she meant it! Lol

Think about it how many time have your rods got mad for you using a different pole? Never! You can take all of them kut at the same time and it wont look like desperat hkuse wives of some bs coutny!
