Agreed that if it touches that it's legal. Need to see if he has rules that state it can't touch

Most.... tournament rules state pinched tail. I actually have never seem one that doesn't.

The TD's only argument is that is was already in the rules that it could not touch. If not then you go by the rules that are set by TP&W.

If not then you go by the rules that are set by TP&W. well g bury is a 16 in min. so i assume some one checked all the fish? did all of the fish look close, also if there is any rules they would be posted on this forum, or talked about at the ramp at every tourn, just in case some jo blow wanted to come jack pot g bury!!! i once fished a weatherford thursday nite had 15.99 lbs the weigh master had 16.00 14 teams paid one place, last time there!!!!! lesson learned, also i have no dog in the hunt, and just assume everyone is talking about g bury

Now I'm confused...that verbiage makes it sound like this is a slot lake which Granbury isn't. I may be just interpreting it wrong. Did you mean to word it like this? "His only argument is that it couldn't ONLY touch...it had to exceed the line."

If the TD was blatant in his attempt to not allow your fish, there is definitely something wrong here. It makes you wonder why they would take such action. Most honorable TDs would quote the rule to back their action, if they cannot; it definitely goes against their credibility and honesty. This happened to me a Lake Bridgeport once, I got over it. In my opinion you got the short end of the stick, however you have options, have the TD explain such rules clearly. Provide participate with a copy of HIS rules to the entire field at the next tournament or not fish with him again. I do applaud you for not blasting his name all over the forum and taking the high road (its all about opinions until proven).
