I have been trying to help several people who have interference issues on thier huminbird units.. Evidently there is confusion abt a choke cable and a ferrite ring that humminbird supplies. The new units all come with a choke built into the POWER cable that supplies power to the unit. The ferrite ring is something totally different. It is a round donut shaped device with something like a ceramic coating. You call hummimbird, and they will likely send you a couple for free. You unplug the transducer cable from the connector block, pull abt 2 feet of slack, then run the transducer cable end thru the hole in the ferrite ring as many times as possible/ 7 is around the max.
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

I'm not having interference but don't want too either...I have a new unit (about a month old) will my unit have this "chock" built in? If so, how do you tell and do I still need the ring? Thanks in advance
