My self and Robert "Dafanman" got an early start to the upcoming Memorial day weekend. We hit Lake Dunlap and Lake Mcqueeney and the fishing was fair. Several nice Rios and a couple of Bass were caught. Rounding out the catch were a bunch of small Bluegill and several nice Longear. Worms were the bait of choice. Float and bottom techniques were used and fish were caught in 5 to 8 feet of water. The water was clear in some areas and muddy in others. All fish were released to fight again. After a Mid Morning of fishing we had lunch at the Old River City Cafe on FM 725. The food is FANTASTIC! Fishing with friends to start the Holiday Weekend. It don't get any better.

Side Note: God Bless our fighting men and women who have served and are serving in the armed forces.

Thank you sir. I figured the area lakes are going to be a mad house this weekend. The lakes were super nice today with very little boat traffic. If I fish this weekend it will be on creek.

Nice Fishing Guys. Great seeing the "Dafanman" in action again. I checked out Mcqueeney this morning and it is a muddy mess. That area got over 8 inches of rain.
