I'm looking into selling both of my 25 hp outboards but not sure what to ask for them. I got extremely good deals on both of these and fixed them up pretty good.
First motor is a 1978 Evinrude, electric start. Has a Johnson cowling (bought it that way). Replaced the water pump, head gasket and water gasket, cleaned the carb, replaced the gears as well due to one that was slipping. The motor is ran periodically just to keep the juices flowin. Motor runs like a champ.
Second motor is a 1981 Johnson, pull start. This motor ran perfect when I bought it, although the tiller handle is a little tough to twist but everything else is perfectly fine. Motor runs like a champ.
I only have one prop so I've just been switching it back and forth between the motors. A new prop for these motors is $110
Curious what yall think these motors are worth.
