Anybody having luck with either of these right now? I've never used it and was looking for an alternative to cut shad.

Minnow or the shad. Both have outfished the craw 3 to one.

The craw has always worked better for me but i fish mainly rivers so that might be why.
as far as right now though, channels around here are still hugging their nests so mot much luck but they should be on the chew again in a week or so hopefully.

Neither use Mr. Whiskers and you will get rid of the rest. I have anyhoo. But some folks are just stubborn and will use anything like CJ's and Sure Shot, Heck some even use a perfectly good hot dog weiner. Good luck to you. I would be not truthfull if i didn't say using both Cj;s the craw worked better. But still not as good as WHAT Mr. Whiskers lol.

Update. The shad works great. It would gag a buzzard to smell it but the fish love it.

I usually use shad but I've heard good things about CJ's monster but haven't had a chance to try it yet

I had a chance a couple of weeks ago to fish my favorite punch bait, "Big Marv's punch bait" against CJ's monster bait. I found the cats stacked up hitting about everytime I lowered a bait, and the Big Marv's outfished CJ's easily 10 to 1.
I'm not just saying this to bash the bait, but that is what I found on that day. Another day, maybe a different story.
I still may give the crawfish CJ's a try!

Went today shad worked best for me.
Common carp 26
