Here's the deal...I'm looking to get out of town in a couple weekends for a 3 day weekend type fishing getaway with the lady.

Any suggestions for the Fredericksburg area? Haven't spent much time in that area and have always wanted to devote some time fishing the Llano. Hoping to find a cool B&B type place and do a couple float trips in the kayaks, so we'll need to find a shuttle service as well.

Consider Junction instead. There are several shuttle services. I have never done it myself because I don't need shuttle.

I think I would try the sporting goods store on main street. They will get you started.

Try Googling Junction sporting goods.

Maybe someone else with chime in.

Don't know much about it, but I came across this a while back when looking for info on fishing the river. I couldn't ever figure out exactly where it was on the llano.

I don't fish the llano at Fredericksburg, but around the city of llano is great fishing. Swinging streamers in the faster currents usually gets a fish, and if you want to catch a sunfish every cast hoppers work great. The guys at living waters fly shop in Round Rock have plenty of information about the llano if you give them a call.

If you go to the tab marked "downloads", it has driving directions. It says they are 10 miles south of Mason.

Yeah, I've been thinking of booking the weekend there and having Raye do a casting session with us.

Give Curtis a call. 325-446-2220. He runs a shuttle service and canoe rental below Junction. You can park your vehicle at his house on the river and he will drop you off at which ever put in you decide.
